DoJ plans to apply ADA Accessibility Guidelines to Public Websites

The ADA requires that State and local governments provide qualified individuals with disabilities equal access to their programs, services, or activities unless doing so would fundamentally alter the nature of their programs, services, or activities or would impose an undue burden.

Kindle hardware devices sometimes claim to be accessible, but that is misleading. They may read the e-book contents with a text-to-speach voice, but the user who is blind cannot navigate the device to even locate the desired book.
